YouTube Upload – Physics / Motion in a Straight Line

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve uploaded two sets of five problems relating to motion in a straight line … the first set is here, and the second set is here.

It’s all very cool stuff ’cause it is the beginning of a look into classical mechanics. What’s fun here is the ability to predict the future … “If I throw a ball this hard at this angle to the ground, here’s where it will land.” We’ll get into calc-based physics after a bit, and will look into some of the really fun stuff later on. You get hooked, and classical mechanics leads to quantum mechanics, continuum mechanics, statistical mechanics … and you look at the world in a very different way.

What’s next for us at SP4U in physics will be motion in a vertical plane, Newton’s Laws of Motion, circular motion, simple harmonic motion, electricity, light …. seems like too much fun in one place, but we’re gonna try anyway

As always, if there’s a topic you’d like covered, let me know .

Peace

Gordon
